HOME FREQUENCIES
Virtual Project Gallery

Home Frequencies is a multimedia community documentary project that collaborates with social workers, artists, and local organizations to share stories of creativity and resilience. Our debut project, created with Dorothy Day House — a Berkeley shelter and social services organization — has produced a short documentary film, a geometric “video quilt” installation, and a free community event at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

HOME FREQUENCIES SHORT FILM & GALLERY CELEBRATION

The complete Home Frequencies film premiered at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on September 14th, 2024, featuring performances from our participating artists. This event was FREE to the public!

We look forward to continuing to share this project at local arts and film events. This clip offers a preview of the tone and heart of our project!

Created as a companion to our short documentary film, this geometric “video quilt” (or “doc-quilt-mentary”) integrates additional images and sounds captured during project interviews, music collaborations, and art-making sessions. This video quilt piece was on display for an entire month at YBCA during the
Art, Action, Change exhibition! Completely FREE and open to the public!
